Best Musical Toys for Children on Amazon

A round-up of some of the best musical toys and instruments you can get on Amazon Canada! As music educator and Montessori Mom these would be some of my recommendations. Check back for more as I update the list! Links* included!

Black Friday Deals:

Melissa and Doug Instrument Sound Puzzle:

I absolutely love this particular sound puzzle from Melissa and Doug. The sounds are realistic and each instruments plays the same melody so the child can focus on timbre. This got A LOT of play in my home when my child was between 1 - 3 years old.

Symphony in B by Battat Orchestra Toy:

Check out my Instagram or TikTok for my review of this toy! I was gifted it and though it’s not something I would have chosen, it gets a lot of play and it’s an amazing concept. Definitely an extension of the sound puzzle above. I would recommend for ages 3 and up.

HABA Egg Shakers:

These egg shakers are adorable and I have never met a HABA product I didn’t like. Use your discretion with how young you would introduce these.

HABA Sound Blocks:

Another great HABA material! I would probably consider these more of a sensorial material, but they made the musical list, especially with the Black Friday price. Again can be used from a very young age.

Toddler/Kid Sized Percussion Instrument Sets:

Below I’ve linked two percussion instrument bundles - a larger and a smaller. I haven’t used these exact brands personally, but both look exactly like what I would seek out for my child and for my music classes. For young toddler and up.

Floor Tom Drum:

This looks like a lovely little floor tom with mallets! The one I have available in my preschool/kinder classes is always coveted by the students. Age 2/3 and up.

Triangles:

Triangles have become SO POPULAR in my classes from Babies all the way to Kinders. Use with supervision from a young age. Below you’ll find a set of two, as well as a single one with a wooden toggle handle that I really like.
